Dear Family and Friends,
As we approached Thanksgiving again this year, we took some time to look back over the year and count our blessings from the Lord.
The big news of the year is that we are expecting another little one in January 2011. We are waiting to find out Baby’s gender until Baby arrives - so it will be a surprise for us. We are very excited to have another child join our family.
We have watched Faith grow from a small baby to a little girl. She has grown quickly and is proudly walking around. She brings so much joy and laughter to our home. Although Faith does not realize she is going to be a big sister yet, she loves being with other children of her “size” and the new sibling will be very exciting for her. We love her dearly and pray that as she continues to mature, she will come to know Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior.
Evelyn experienced for the very first time this year the “joys” of poison ivy. The Lord was very good to her and enabled her to survive the 3+ week ordeal, especially when the poison ivy became systemic. Meanwhile, the pregnancy is going very well with a very active Baby. Please pray for a safe delivery and healthy mommy and baby.
This year marked my (Stephen’s) sixth year working for
ThrillingAudio.com. We are thankful for God’s provision through such good employment. This past May, I was able to cut back from full time to part-time in order to be able to focus more on the ministry at Fellowship Baptist Church. We are grateful for my older brother and employer, Jonathan. His gracious flexibility and kindness is a great blessing.
One of the biggest events in the extended Wesco Family this year was the campaign and election of my brother
Timothy Wesco as Indiana State Representative. I was the graphic designer and webmaster for the campaign. We were very thankful and excited when Timothy won the general election earlier this month. Please pray that God would protect him and that Tim would remain strong and faithful in the statehouse.
It is hard to believe that six years have passed since
Fellowship Baptist Church called me as an assistant pastor!
I have continued to teach
Family School. This year we studied the Kings of Judah and Israel along with their contemporary prophets including Elijah and Elisha. Currently we are studying through the narrative of the prophets Jeremiah and Ezekiel.
This past year we were able to reach out to many through in-home visits and Bible Studies. We were able to follow up with people that we met during the
Memorial Day Outreach, the Amazing Grace 4H Fair outreach, and door-to-door. Please pray that God would work in the lives of each individual soul.
Evelyn has been able to have a special ministry to single and abandoned mothers. It has been a fulfilling ministry that has included things as simple as helping with grocery shopping to just offering a shoulder to cry on. Please pray for Evelyn as she seeks to give Biblical counsel in some difficult and complex situations.
Evelyn has invested a great amount of time cataloging the donated music library of retired music Pastor Dennis Lepper. Both of our families have been blessed by the ministry of Pastor Lepper over the years. Now his lifelong collection of music will continue to be used for the glory of God.
We both were able to be a part of Fellowship Baptist School of Theology this year. Evelyn was able to take Hermeneutics (how to interpert the Bible) for credit and the Book of Revelation on an audit level. I took these courses a few years ago and and am thrilled that Evelyn was able to take them this year. Currently we are both auditing a course on First and Second Corinthians.
Thank you all for your love and prayers. Each day that passes, we are more confident that faithful is our God who called us, who also will do it (1 Thessalonians 5:24). May God bless you all! Happy Thanksgiving!
Love,
Stephen, Evelyn, Faith, (& Baby) Wesco
