Night Market and Stinky Tofu

Some of the Delaneys took us to the Night Market last week. The best way to describe it is a combination of a real USA's Chinatown and a 4-H fair. It is crowded and noisy, with food and more food, games and so forth.

The highlight of the evening was trying stinky tofu! It is fermented tofu that has the stench of an animal barn before they deep fry it.

It's not bad until the aftertaste!

Everyone around us was eating it up as if it was the most delicious thing in the world.

I have enjoyed looking at your blog! We met the Delaneys a few years ago at my Grandmas house, in Iowa. I don't know if I would be brave enough to try "stinky tofu"!?!

Hi Stephen and Evelyn,
I really am enjoying your blog! All the comments and pictures make it almost like we're there with you experiencing the culture. All those animal parts might have been a bit much for me in person! : ) Evelyn's face at the stinky tofu is priceless!!!!!
So glad the Lord is using you on this missions trip! We're praying that you will sense His direction through this trip.
I was at Aimee and Virgil's today, and we were wondering how much baby is growing. How about a side view of Mommy so we can see him/her? lol
Blessings and prayers for you,

Deb for the Barrows family

Uh-huh! Rei-Fong Night Market...awesome place, awesome food, awesome fun! I'm really glad you two were brave enough to handle the stinky tofu...Stephen, I don't think I've ever met an American who is so willing to try new things! That's really a good testimony to the people here in Taiwan, and means a lot to them. I'm glad I got to meet y'all, and I hope our paths will cross again in the future!
